Information We Do Not Collect

Receipt Vault does not require account registration and does not ask you to connect a bank account, credit card, or financial institution.

The app does not operate a server that receives your receipts, receipt images, expense records, categories, notes, or exported files.

Receipt Vault does not include third-party advertising SDKs or tracking SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Receipt Data Stored on Your Device

Receipt images, OCR text, merchant names, dates, totals, taxes, categories, projects, clients, notes, payment method details you enter, line items, and generated report metadata are stored locally in the app storage on your device.

The app uses this information to help you search, filter, organize, detect possible duplicates, generate insights, and create export files for reimbursement or tax records.

OCR Processing

Receipt Vault uses on-device text recognition to extract receipt information. OCR results may be imperfect. Low-confidence or missing values may be highlighted so you can review and correct them before saving.

Encrypted Backups and Restore

Backup files are created locally on your device. You may save a .receiptvaultbackup file to Files, iCloud Drive, or another storage provider you choose.

Password-protected backups are encrypted before they leave the app. Receipt Vault cannot recover a forgotten backup password.

Exports and Sharing

You control export and sharing actions. CSV, PDF, ZIP, image attachments, report packages, and backup files are created locally and shared only through the system share sheet or destination you choose.

Camera, Photos, App Lock, and Purchases

The app requests camera and photo library access only for receipt capture and import. If you enable the app lock, Receipt Vault uses Apple local device authentication and does not receive or store biometric data.

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Receipt Vault does not receive your full payment card details.

Data Deletion and Contact

You can delete individual receipts and generated records inside the app. Exported files and backups saved outside the app must be deleted from those destinations separately.
